Story

  • Leading the Way Today

Rehan Saeed Khan is today recognized as one of Pakistan’s foremost advisors on government relations and regulatory strategy. In 2020, after years of working within large institutions, he launched Silverline Associates to provide high-level support to multiple clients rather than serve just one. The firm now advises companies like Engro, a diversified conglomerate, ICI Pakistan, a leading chemical player, American Express, a global financial services provider, and National Resources Limited, a major mineral exploration company. Silverline has evolved into a full-service consultancy working on both retained partnerships and high-stakes projects. As international investors increasingly look to Pakistan for its natural resources, agricultural strengths, and skilled tech talent, Silverline is helping them navigate legal, bureaucratic, and regulatory pathways with clarity and confidence.

  • Creating Impact at Scale

Before founding Silverline, Khan spent years driving impact from inside Pakistan’s most regulated and strategically vital sectors. He began this phase of his career at Karachi Electric, the country’s largest private utility, where he led public-sector engagement through a time of institutional change. He was later appointed advisor to Hubco, Pakistan’s largest independent power producer, where he worked across federal and provincial agencies on energy reforms and subsidy negotiations. Most recently, he served as Head of Public Relations for National Resources Limited, guiding strategic coordination between the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Balochistan on copper and gold mining at Reko Diq. These roles positioned him at the center of national economic priorities, where government, business, and policy collide.

  • Building Expertise Across Sectors

Khan’s multi-sector expertise was shaped during his long tenure with Engro, one of the country’s most prominent business groups. He joined Engro Foods in administrative and HR leadership roles before being elevated to General Manager for Government and Corporate Affairs. His work spanned food safety legislation, agricultural policy, utilities management, and public-sector collaboration. This phase also included nearly a decade at Pak Oman Investment Company, a government-backed financial institution, where he managed corporate recoveries, built public-private coordination strategies, and oversaw national lending portfolios. These experiences gave Khan the breadth of knowledge and institutional maturity to navigate diverse industries and build the trusted networks that fuel his advisory work today.

  • A Career Rooted in Service

The foundation of Khan’s career lies in public service and nonprofit leadership, where he developed the people-first mindset that continues to define his approach. He began in hospitality operations at a leading hospitality giant, gaining early experience in systems management and customer service. He then joined the Intelligence Bureau of Pakistan, where he supported security operations during a pivotal time in the country’s counterterrorism strategy. Later, he contributed to national education through the Prime Minister’s Literacy Commission and helped lead development programs at Sahara for Life Trust, a nonprofit focused on health and education. These early roles combined public administration, intelligence coordination, and community impact — laying the groundwork for a career built on trust, access, and results.
